BENNINGTON, NH:  Harry James Clough, 80, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2016 at his home.

Harry was born on February 16, 1936 in Grasmere, NH, the son of Ivon and Ellen (Miles) Clough.  He was predeceased by his brother Donald Clough of Bennington.

In 1953, Harry married his high school sweetheart, Nancy L. Cutter, and raised four children.  He was a lifelong construction worker, who owned his own business and built his own homes in Antrim and Bennington.  Harry was an active member of his community, serving as captain of the Antrim Fire Department for many years, as well as the Antrim Water Commissioner. 

His passions were hunting, fishing and dancing with the love of his life.

Harry is survived by his loving family who will miss him dearly; his children:  Lisa Grunkemeyer and her husband Robert, Heidi Therrien and her husband Robert, Jeffrey Clough and his wife Sarah, and Rhonda Durgin and her husband Sean; his grandchildren:   Jaysen Clough-Medora, Nicholas Grunkemeyer, Vanessa Grunkemeyer, Justin Durgin, Taylor Clough, Ivon Clough and Khara Aird; and his four great-grandchildren Riley, Makayla, Cole and Declan.

A celebration of Harry’s life will be held at the American Legion in Hillsboro on Saturday December 3, 2016 from 4-8 pm.

The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
