WEST DEERING, NH: With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Carroll Joseph Greene; on June 15, 2022.
A NH native, he was born on May 20, 1943 in West Deering, to Carroll Elbridge Greene and Florence Madeline Corliss Greene. A graduate of Hillsboro-Deering High School, Class of 1963, he joined the National Guard, was a licensed auctioneer, Master Electrician, volunteer firefighter, and proprietor of Greene’s Garage from 1976 to 2018. His many talents extended to photography, wood crafting, and building furniture as well as constructing his own home with the help of his father.
A lifetime member of the Church of Christ, Carroll was always helping people less fortunate than himself, and his missionary work in the Philippines brought him great joy. He loved flying and building model airplanes, playing games with family, the outdoors, wildlife, flower gardening, and was a birder and avid fisherman.
Carroll is survived by family, whom he dearly loved, including his sister, Mary Marguerite Greene and two brothers, Thomas Warren Greene and John Corliss. He is survived by four children, Elaine D. Greene, Sandra L. Segundo, John-Abbott Greene and April-Joy Greene. He is also survived by former spouse, Lauren Pettit and five grandchildren, Emma L. Segundo, Isabella N. Segundo, Anthony J. Greene, Genevieve L. Greene, and Everett-James J. Greene.
His smile, zest for life and kind heart will be missed, but we will carry them in our hearts every day.
