BOSCAWEN, NH: David Christopher Shaw, “Chris”, 56, of Boscawen, NH, passed away surrounded by family and friends at Concord Hospital on December 6, 2022, after suffering a heart attack December 2.
Born in Pittsfield, ME,L Chris was the oldest child of David W. and Eileen M. Shaw. The family moved to NH when Chris was seven. He graduated from Concord High School in 1986 and made his home in NH.
Chris met his future wife, Donna Demag, at Pitco in 1996. They were married May 4, 2002. Donna and Chris were the love of each other’s lives. They made a wonderful life together with their two adored and spoiled fur-babies until his death.
Chris was an avid outdoorsman who had a love of shooting guns, which he learned from his father. He enjoyed hiking the woods and trails and became a geocacher on the trails in NH. Chris enjoyed a variety of social gatherings and activities with all his friends. He was a dart team captain for many years, loved to play horseshoes, ultimate frisbee, kayaking, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler.
Chris worked at a variety of jobs. HIs most prominent was as a land surveyor and eventually for 29 years at Pitco Frialator, where he worked on the production line as well as in the sheet metal department running a press. Eventually, he moved up to a Technical Support position, taking calls from companies all over the world. Chris very much enjoyed working with customers and solving technical issues.
He leaves his loving wife of 20 years, Donna, and parents, David W. and Eileen M. Shaw, sister, Jennifer L. Shaw, and cousin Penny Shaw, all of ME. He is also survived by his father in-law, Leo F. Demag, and wife, Joanne Demag, of TN, mother in-law, Nancy A. Richardson, and sister-in-law, Pamela J. Demag, of NH. He was the loving uncle of Emma-Rose Farrell.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home, 32 School St, Hillsborough, NH.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 12 at 11:00 am at Maple Avenue Cemetery, Atwood Road, across from the Baptist Church in Hillsborough.
