HILLSBORO, NH: Joanne Duggan McNally, of Hillsborough, NH passed away on August 18, 2022. Born on September 29, 1936 in Everett, MA, she was the daughter of Robert and Marie (Dunlea) Duggan.
Joanne graduated from Hillsboro Deering High School and went on to a career in retail. She co- owned Tasker’s Clothing in Hillsboro and Peterborough and owned JoAnne’s Shoppe. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and the beach, and loved sharing stories of growing up as one of thirteen children, as her family was her greatest joy.
She leaves behind her daughter, Patricia Parenteau and her husband Stephen of Hillsborough, grandsons, Stephen Parenteau II and his wife Danielle of Peterborough and Bryan Parenteau of Hillsborough, great-grandchildren, Jacob, Alivia and Brooke of Peterborough, NH, sisters, Marie Bruns of Bow, NH, Theresa Brodrick of Sarasota, Florida, brother, James (Betty) Duggan of Redondo Beach, CA, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth, Angela, and Mercedes Duggan, great grand pup, Ares as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, sons, Thomas and Michael McNally, daughter, Anne McNally, brothers, William (Alice), Robert (Mary), Edward, George (Peggy), John, Arthur (Louise), Lawrence (Lee), and Thomas Duggan, sister, Alice Delaney and brothers-in-law, Roger Bruns and William Brodrick.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Monday, August 29th at 10:30 at St. Mary’s in Hillsborough, followed by a graveside service at St. Charles Cemetery.
