HENNIKER, NH: William Curtis Welch, known to those who loved him as Bill, died peacefully at Concord Hospital on April 17, 2022, at the age of 62.
Born in Concord, NH, on April 10, 1960, Bill attended Hopkinton High School and was a longtime resident of Henniker, NH. He worked at local sawmills, most recently Goss Lumber, and as a carpenter, landscaper, and handyman. He was known for always keeping busy and pitching in to help friends and family with home renovations and projects.
Bill loved throwing horseshoes on a warm day with a cold beer. He was always quick with a joke and skilled at cribbage, woodworking, and building furniture.
Bill is survived by his brother, Roger Welch of Weare, NH, sisters, Nancy Newcomb of Tilton, NH, and Sandra Stewart of Woodstock, GA, five nieces and nephews, and two great-nieces. He also leaves behind many lifelong friends. Bill was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Welch, his father, Joseph Welch, and his mother, Florence Seymour (Tarr).
A casual celebration of Bill’s life will be held at the Moose Lodge in Hillsborough, NH on Saturday, April 23rd, from 4 to 7 pm.
