Brett S. Moore

Brett S. Moore

HILLSBORO, NH:  Brett Moore passed away at home the morning of October 13th, 2021 with his wife, Lisa, by his side.

He was born on March 15, 1963, and grew up in Chester, NY with his parents, Mike and Marceline, and two siblings, Mike and Colleen. While growing up, he played football and fostered a love for skiing through ski racing, along with his two siblings.  After graduating college from St. Bonaventure, he went to work in New York City, commuting from Chester each day. In addition, he was the ski patrol director at Orange County Park Golf and Ski Area where he met Lisa, his wife of 33 years. After getting married, they moved to New Hampshire in 1988 to start their family. At their home in Hillsboro, together they raised their three kids, Jeffrey, Bradley, and Emma. For the last 23 years, Brett worked for Cochrane Ventilation out of Wilmington, MA. There he quoted and managed projects, and met with clients, primarily in the greater Boston area. Brett was the best father and provider anyone could hope for. He supported his children all through school and was an incredible role model in all facets of life.

While the kids were growing up, he was very involved with the Hillsboro Youth Athletic Association (HYAA), coaching teams that his kids played on, as well as on the administrative side.  Once the kids were old enough, Brett introduced his children to the sport of ski racing.  Brett became very involved with the Pats Peak Ski Team which all three kids raced on, a community the kids are still a part of today. He loved helping run the races, and served as Vice president of the Pats Peak Education Foundation board of directors for several years. He also loved racing on Monday night’s beer league at Pats Peak.   Afterwards, he would convene with his team at the sled pub to watch the video of his run just to critique himself (even though he was usually the team’s fastest.)

Brett loved to ski, golf, and more recently, play pickleball with Lisa and their friends. Brett was truly loved by his family and friends. A devoted husband, a beloved father, and a cherished friend, Brett will be dearly missed by all.

Brett is survived by his wife, Lisa, his three children, Jeffrey, Bradley and his wife Crista, and Emma, his siblings, Mike Moore and Colleen Moore, and numerous nieces, nephews, and “informally” adopted children as well.

A formal funeral will not be held, however a celebration of life will be held at the Moore household on Sunday October 24th, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. At 2pm there will be a few words from friends and family.  Please join us to honor Brett’s memory.

The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
