HENNIKER, NH: Richard Armand Aucoin, age 90, of Henniker NH, passed away on May 21, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born in Henniker, NH on March 25, 1931, to the late Henry D. and Yvonne M. L. (Guevin) Aucoin.
He graduated from the Quaker School, a one room school house in Henniker.
Richard married Therese A.M. Brosseau on February 17, 1968; they were married for 48 years, until the passing of Therese on August 27, 2016.
Richard was a hard working farmer, very mechanically inclined and an avid hunter. He was drafted into the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict as a rifle range instructor and an airframe mechanic. He served for two years, February 1952 to February 1954. He left the Service as a Lance Corporal with Obligated Service until February 1960.
Richard was also a school bus driver for 48 years and owned rental properties. He was a kind and gentle man and will be missed by all.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 27, 2021, at St. Theresa’s Church in Henniker, NH. Reverend Marcel Martel will be officiating.
Richard is survived by two sons, Richard A. Aucoin, II and Martin D. Aucoin; six sisters, Rachel Paul, Claire Aucoin, Dolores Aucoin, Georgette Beaudette, Lorraine Aucoin and Jeannette Herrick, four brothers, Raymond Aucoin, Jean Paul Aucoin, Robert Aucoin and Albert Aucoin, as well as many other family members and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 27, 2021, at St. Theresa’s Church in Henniker, NH. Reverend Marcel Martel will be officiating.
Burial will follow the funeral at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hillsboro, NH.
