WASHINGTON, NH: Robert W. Holmes, Jr., 76, of Washington, NH formerly of North Andover, MA, born November 4, 1944, passed on August 4, 2021, leaving his beloved wife of 27 years, Vicky Holmes, and his beloved son, Robert (Bobby) W. Holmes, III. He also leaves his sister, Dr. Christine Leland, and husband, Jay Leland, his nephew and niece, Ben Leland and Amanda Leland and her husband, Eric Annis.
Mr. Holmes was a graduate of Tabor Military Academy in Marion, MA, Harvard University and Boston University School of Law.
He was a senior partner in the law firms Powers & Hall and Warner & Stackpole, Boston MA.
Mr. Holmes was a National Merit Scholar, President of Boston University School of Law Alumni Association, General Counsel to the Massachusetts Golf Association, recipient of the Pike Prize for service to the handicapped and Silver Shingle award for service to Boston University School of Law.
He was a Board member of Masco, General Counsel to the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Trustee of Jordan Hospital, Chair of the Small Business Committee of Massachusetts Bar Association, Trustee of the Mabel Louise Riley Foundation, since 1978, and the James Smith Charitable Trust.
Bob enjoyed salt water fishing (bluefish) and was an accomplished artist.
