BOSCAWEN, NH:  Mary Avis Poole, 91, of Boscawen, NH, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home.  She was born on October 9, 1929 in Concord, NH to Carl and Evelyn (Stevens) Burbank.

At a young age she met Robert W. Poole, Sr. and they married in 1947. They lived most of their lives in Contoocook, operating the Poole Dairy Farm for more than fifty years. Though she never worked outside of the home, she raised six children on the farm.

She was predeceased by an infant grandson in 1974, her father, Carl, in 1972, mother, Evelyn, in 1989, her husband, Robert, in 2003 and her only sibling, Dorothy Boutwell, in 2018.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Poole, Jr. of Boscawen, David Poole of Contoocook and John Poole (Tracey) of Warner, three daughters, Gloria Tolman of Johnston, SC, Margaret Hill (Bill) of Contoocook and Mary Bailey (Tim) of Boscawen. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
