HILLSBORO, NH:  Cathy Ann (Myhaver) Carmichael, 61 of Hillsboro, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Concord Hospital following a brief illness surrounded by her family. She was born on October 28, 1954 in Peterborough, New Hampshire.

She leaves her loving husband of seven years (Hoagy) Daniel Glenden Carmichael, her three children, Richard Joseph Novak of Hillsboro, Nicole Ruthann Sprague of Hillsboro, and Melissa Leann Merrill and her husband William Merrill of Windsor, her stepmother, Betty (Pierce) Myhaver of Springhill, FL, eleven grandchildren, Tyler Merrill and his wife Kristyn, Kyle Merrill, Catrina Lougee and her companion Rob Lucas, Jade Sprague, Madison Carmichael, Kyle Carmichael, Chris Carmichael, Jason Carmichael, Ryan Carmichael, Jaclen French and Brett French all of New Hampshire, and one great-grandchild, to come Bentley William Merrill. She also leaves three brothers Danny Myhaver of Oxford, MA, Robert Caldwell of Spring Hill, FL, five sisters, Donna Ryan Sweeney of Peterborough, Debra Hult of Nashua, Donna Jean Marsh of Salina, KS, Linda Ricard of Rindge and Peggy Jepsom of Palm Bay, FL.  She also leaves two stepsisters, Karen Lougee and Kristen Lougee, and one stepbrother. Kevin Lougee. Cathy also leaves three stepchildren, Carrie French, Todd Carmichael and Scott Carmichael all of New Hampshire and four sister-in-laws, Jill Crane, Andrea Carmichael and Denise Senecal all of New Hampshire and Karen Myhaver of MA, and one brother- in-law, Rick Senecal of New Hampshire. Cathy also had many, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Cathy was an active member of the Hillsborough Sal American Legion Post 59 where she worked as a bartender for many years. She was a former member of the Hillsborough Moose Lodge 1091. Cathy was a worker over the years, bartending, and waitressing for Michael’s, The Chalkboard, Alberto’s, Mr. Gee’s, advertising in sales with the local newspapers Messenger and Villager, as well as her own individual cleaning service. She loved to walk the beach and ocean of Hampton, New Hampshire. Her favorite holiday was Christmas with her hundreds of Santa Clauses. She loved spending time at home with her companion, Princess Duchess, her dog, her flowers and all her wildlife in her back yard.

She was predeceased  by her parents ,Ann Doris Clough and Donald Charles Myhaver. her sister, Kim Cahill and her brother, Donald Terrance (Terry) Myhaver.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Hillsborough American Legion from 4-7pm.

Holt Woodbury Funeral home of Hillsborough is assisting the family with the arrangements.
