HILLSBOROUGH, NH: Rosalie “Lee” (Cedraro) Mogavero, 91, of Hillsborough, NH, passed away on June 7, 2017 following a period of failing health, surrounded by her family at the Hillsborough House nursing home in Hillsborough, NH. She was born in the Bronx, NY on July 1, 1925, and was the daughter of Franceso and Fortunata (Rago) Cedraro.
Lee is predeceased by her husband Jack Mogavero, having enjoyed 42 years of marriage together, her sister, Theresa Ribaudo, and her great-grandson, Ryan DeCoteau, who passed away in February, 2017. Lee is survived by her sons, Steve Mogavero and his wife Marie, from Hillsborough, NH, Tom Mogavero and his wife Mayra, from Boynton Beach, FL, Frank Mogavero and his wife Adele, from Hancock, NH, Jim Mogavero and his wife Deanna, from Franklin, NH, and daughter Laurie (Mogavero) Naro and her husband Brian, from Dunbarton, NH. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Jennifer Prusia and her husband Chris, David Zalewa and his wife Amanda, Tonja VanCleave and her husband Greg, Raul James, Michael Mogavero, Andrea DeCoteau and her husband Mike, Frank Mogavero and his wife Jennifer, Tim Mogavero and his wife Georgie. She was also blessed with having the honor of being the GREAT-grandmother of 14 here on earth, and to Ryan, who she has now joined in Heaven. Lee also held a special place in her heart for her “other daughter” Angela Leighton of Portland, ME.
Lee started her family with her husband Jack in Long Island, NY and then moved to Amherst, NH in 1961. She was employed at Sanders Associates in Nashua and also as a real estate agent for many years. She was the organizer of the Hillsborough senior bus trips in town, which everyone always looked forward to attending. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Lee was full of life and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She always enjoyed family gatherings and loved to cook. Her television was always set to the Food Network channel and she could talk about recipes forever, and probably still is!
She will be missed forever but never forgotten. We love you!
Calling hours will be held Monday June 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home 32 School St Hillsboro, NH.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church in Hillsboro, NH.
Burial will be held at 2 pm in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Amherst NH.
