ANTRIM, NH: Evangeline Marguerite (Margie) Arpin (Chartier) 83, died Wednesday March 29, 2017 in Franklin, NH.
She was born in Billerica, MA, on January 6, 1934 to Jeannette (Poirier) and Victor Chartier.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Robert W. Arpin, infant son William F. Arpin, three brothers, Lord Paul Chartier, William Chartier and Gerard Chartier and three sisters, Jacquelyn (Jackie) Ash, Jean (Chartier) Arpin and Shirley (Chartier) Castanza.
Marguerite is survived by her three children, son Robert (Bob) H. Arpin and his wife Julie (Sheldon) Arpin of New Ipswich, NH, daughter Julie A. (Arpin) Beaumont of Antrim, NH, and Nancy M. (Arpin) Muldoon and husband John Muldoon of Lowell, MA. She is also survived by one brother, Victor (Sonny) Chartier and wife Carol of Florida and three sisters, Rose (Chartier) Caise, Lowell, MA, Eva (Dolly) and husband Robert Giguere of Tennessee, and Jeannette (Tootsie) and husband Paul Sarmento of Tewksbury, MA; ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Margie loved her family and friends. She grew up in Billerica, then the family moved to Tewksbury, where she lived with her husband and children until 1975, when Margie and her husband moved to Windsor, NH. They later lived in New Ipswich with their son, Bob and she spent the last five years with her daughter Julie.
Margie took great pride in her grandchildren and in the fact she had 17 great grandchildren. Her love for her family and life was overflowing. She was always playing jokes on her grandchildren. Margie loved to talk about her life growing up with her brothers and sisters.
Margie had a way of making everyone she met feel like they were part of her family. She had a huge heart with room for all. Margie will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held April 8th at 1:00 p.m. at the Holt Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 32 School Street, Hillsboro, NH.
A graveside ceremony will be held at a later date at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Antrim Ambulance Service, Rte 31, Antrim, NH 03440
